WEBINAR: General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) for Therapy Professionals |
|
Presented by Ian Batty, GDPR Consultant
"Thank you. This was the most relevant and useful of all the GDPR training I've accessed. It was the only one I've 'attended' that was well informed about the specifics of the practice of clinical psychology. Others advertised that they were but turned out not to know their stuff. Ian certainly did"

Thank you for purchasing this Webinar on GDPR for Therapy Professionals. Here you will be able to view both videos from the webinar, and access all of the documentation that we've created to support the training, including downloadable PDF files of the Webinar Slides, a Sample GDPR Policy Document, and Ian's E-Booklet of responses to questions posed during the LIVE presentation of this webinar on March 9th 2018.
The first video addresses what GDPR is and the legal implications of GDPR for your practice; the second video narrows the focus down to what you need to be doing within your practice to be compliant with the new legislation, that comes into effect on May 25th 2018.
You can access both Videos and the Q&A eBooklet by entering this password: GDPR@CPD*9318. You can access the other documents by clicking on each of these in turn to download them to your computer.
If you have any difficulties accessing either the videos or the documents, please email colin@clerkinpsychology.co.uk to let me know what the problem is and I'll do what I can to sort this for you.

Please note: When viewing the videos, you can pause and come back to them any time you like. If you stop it or want to return to a given point, just note the time indicator on the video. Then just run your cursor along the time line indicator at the bottom of the screen to see the timing for the video - you can drag the video backwards or forwards any time, as much as you like, to review or skip parts. You can’t download the video to your Hard Drive, unfortunately (though that might be a good thing, as they make very large files!), but as long as you save the page URL / web address, you can come back to this page anytime.

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) for Therapy Professionals
WEBINAR Presented by: Ian Batty, GDPR Consultant www.gdprsme.co.uk Hosted by: Dr Colin Clerkin www.cpdworkshops.com Originally broadcast Friday March 9th 2018 As a therapist working in private practice, you hold important identifying information about your clients. But do you understand what you are meant to do to protect that data? What to do with records once you finish with a client. What about if a client wants to know what data you hold about them? Or even if it is securely stored? Were you even aware that you should be registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)?
From 25 May 2018, your business MUST comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) – tough new laws on data - that give consumers more rights over what you can do with information you hold about them and sets strict rules about how you manage and store their data. You are responsible for this data, so it makes sense that you know what you should be doing with it and have measures in place ahead of this date to ensure that you are fully compliant with the law, doesn’t it? This 2-part, 3-hour webinar will give you the information you need to know what is required of your practice, and encourage you to take the steps that ensure you are compliant with the new legislation. What our workshop attendees say ... "Accessible delivery of a complex subject" - Dr Helen Pickering, Clinical Psychologist. "Excellent presentation of a complex area; Ian made the content accessible and entertaining". Dr Karen Addy, Clinical Neuropsychologist. ”Alarmingly useful” Ruth Hare, Counselling Psychologist ”Provided a clear understanding of GDPR & the importance of compliance” Dr Amrat Singh, Clinical Neuropsychologist Tell us what you thought of this webinar
